Ofsted and the Criminal Record Bureau
KCS is registered under the Children's Act 1989, and therefore falls under the category of an educational establishment requiring an annual inspection by Ofsted. KCS underwent its second inspection during 2003 and successfully passed. Our 2004 inspection will take place in November. Under the new regulations introduced by the Criminal Records Bureau, KCS now goes through Ofsted to police check all staff, volunteers and trustees.
Environmental Health
KCS undergoes annual inspections by the Ealing Environmental Health Department. A pest control service is carried out quarterly with an outside agency. KCS prides itself on a very high standard of kitchen hygiene.
