What does KCS need?

Charitable status enables KCS to offer free or subsidised places in cookery workshops to children and young people who are most in need. Money raised goes directly towards cookery projects and covers the following costs: staff salaries, rent and utilities, running costs of KCS on Wheels, ingredients, kitchen equipment and staff training.

Your donations can made a difference:

  • £15 will fund a child to attend an after-school cookery club
  • £30 will pay for a high school students to attend a cookery workshop
  • £600 buys a whole day with KCS on Wheels which covers all costs including materials, ingredients, staff and our mobile kitchen. In a whole day we can teach up to 48 children.
  • £5,000 would enable 333 children to learn to cook with KCS on Wheels
  • £10,000 would provide the ingredients needed for one KCS on Wheels van for one year
  • £25,000 would recruit and train a chef enabling us to reach more children
  •  £50,000 would purchase and equip a van, enabling KCS on Wheels to work with an increased number of hard to reach inner-city communities
  •  £200,000 would take one KCS on Wheels van to communities and fund the Acton Head Office and school
  • £300,000 would enable KCS to buy a second van, taking KCS on Wheels across London whilst providing lessons at its Acton school
